Mission Statement

OUTnewcomers’ mission is to organize, support, and empower LGBTQIA+ immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees across Greater Boston and Massachusetts. We combine immigrant and refugee justice with LGBTQIA+ community organizing through mutual aid, emergency assistance, legal and resource navigation, advocacy, wellness programs, and community-building. Led by lived experience, we strengthen collective power, safety, dignity, and belonging for LGBTQIA+ newcomers.
